What it actually does
EVE keeps each character's interface in a file on your disk. Replicator Redux copies that file. That is the whole trick.
The blend that never forgets
Every window you drag, every overview preset you tune and every shortcut you rebind is written to one file per character. Copy that file and the whole interface arrives intact.
Not a theme, and not a subset. There is nothing to reapply afterwards, because the receiving character is reading the same bytes your main was.
Every change is committed to a real git repository first, so a patch that resets your layout costs you one restore instead of an evening.
And it refuses to write anything while a client is open, because EVE overwrites its own settings on exit.
Replicator Redux does the unglamorous part so you can get back to the part you actually logged in for. It never phones home, never asks for an account, and never touches a thing while a client is running.
Six ingredients, no filler
Pick a character whose UI you like and push it to one alt, or to thirty. Windows, overview and shortcuts all land identical.
Save the sets you actually fly: mining fleet, incursion alts, the wormhole crew. Copy to the whole group at once.
Freeze a profile you have tuned and keep it. Apply it months later to a character that did not exist when you saved it.
Every change is a commit in a real git repository. Restore any snapshot when a patch throws your whole layout back to default.
EVE rewrites its settings on exit. Replicator watches for a running client and blocks every change until you are out.
Point it at a private remote and push. Your settings follow you to the laptop, the second rig, the reinstall.

Permanence
Every snapshot is a commit in a real git repository. Point it at a private remote and your settings exist somewhere that is not your hard drive, with every version you have ever had kept alongside the latest one.

Point the mirror at a private repository you own. Every snapshot after that is one click away from being off your machine.

A dead drive, a new laptop, a fresh Windows install. None of it reaches a repository that is not on the disk you just wiped.

Install Replicator Redux on the new machine and put the repository back in its mirror folder. Your token is the only thing you had to carry.

Pick any commit in the history, not just the most recent one. Every window lands where you left it, on every character.
All of it lives in a repository you control, so it is readable without this app ever being installed again. Setting up the token, and restoring onto a new machine.
